SORBThe Sex Offender Registry Board has promulgated administrative rules and regulation governing the classification level it assigns to those who must register as sex offenders. One whose classification level is higher than seems justified has a right of appeal for a hearing to determine, de novo, what the level should be. It is crucial to have an attorney familiar with the Board's rules and regulations and who has participated in these classification appeals hearings and who is familiar with the standards applied by the Board.
